Climb Book CoverCambridge Who’s Who® member Bonnie Daneker has announced the publication of her book, “CLIMB: Leading Women In Technology Share Their Journeys To Success,” which she co-edited. Comprised of 60 compelling profiles of women in the technological business community, the book includes powerful, personal and poignant essays contributed by women who exemplify leadership in an industry where few females venture.  Readers will garner valuable advice that they can incorporate in their own leadership efforts.

The book was published by Women In Technology (WIT), Inc., an organization that advocates for the advancement of women in the technology industry. “These extraordinary women have generously shared their invaluable experience, advice, and journeys that will inspire leaders in this generation and the next,” said Sandy Hofmann, president of WIT, Inc. “CLIMB” depicts the heart and soul of leadership for the next generation. Additionally, “CLIMB” chronicles Women In Technology’s philanthropic effort, the WIT Foundation, which supports the next generation of women through pre-career programs, encouraging girls to study and work in STEM-related careers (science, technology, engineering and mathematics.) Net proceeds from book sales will provide additional funding for the WIT Foundation.

Bonnie Daneker’s professional resume is comprised of more than 15 years of entrepreneurial experience, including the launch of five separate companies, as well as 10 years in technology consulting. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from Ohio State University, in Columbus, Ohio, and a Master of Business Administration in Strategic Planning and Entrepreneurship from Emory University, in Atlanta, Ga. Ms. Daneker founded and is the president of BD Donaldson Publishing, Inc., which produces and distributes health care information, primarily to caregivers for cancer patients. After her father was diagnosed with cancer, she was inspired to write, “The Compassionate Caregiver Series®.” Starting BD Donaldson Publishing allowed her to reach other caregivers, and patients. She continues to write and publish books about cancer and patient care.

Technology re-entered Ms. Daneker’s life after attending national conferences for cancer research. She was exposed to the critical role technology plays in scientific discovery. Thus, she established her involvement with the WIT organization. Ms. Daneker noted, “Being involved with WIT’s community has richly enhanced my view of women’s roles in technology.” More importantly, the connections she established with WIT served as the foundation for her growth and development. Ms. Daneker asserts that she wrote and produced “CLIMB” because she believed that “learning from these lessons will propel women faster into polished leadership performance.”

“CLIMB: Leading Women In Technology Share Their Journeys To Success” is available for purchase at WIT’s website, http://www.mywit.org/home or at Amazon.com.
