Cambridge Who’s Who member Jennifer Vaughan, co-founder and president of Integrating Woman Leaders, Inc. (IWL), is hosting the inaugural Women Leadership Conference, Mentoring Women, Advancing Careers: Style-Impact-Transform, on Tuesday, Oct. 19, 2010, at the Civic Theatre on the Marian University campus. Integrating Woman Leaders, Inc. is committed to mentoring and encouraging companies and individuals to create a culture that allows talented women to advance to higher levels of leadership.
Ms. Vaughan invites all women to attend this annual conference, because it will feature exceptional speakers who will share their helpful wisdom and knowledge on this year’s theme: women achieving peak leadership performance and developing their skills. The conference was created to help women identify and share their experiences, considering the disparate leadership behaviors that exist between men and women in the workforce. It was also created to embolden women to transform their lives by overcoming cultural or personally-imposed barriers in the global workforce. In addition, speakers will educate and encourage women to mentor other women, and inspire integrity, learning, and career advancement.
According to Ms. Vaughan, existing industry research studies, such as McKinsey & Company’s “Women Matter,” and HBA’s The E.D.G.E., show that companies with at least three women holding executive-level positions outperformed companies with no women at the top. The studies concluded that if CEOs and executive leadership teams don’t believe that women do make a difference when it comes to the bottom line, their diversity programs won’t work; they need to support and build programs that are transparent to organizations that allow more women to advance to higher levels of leadership. Women won’t advance to high levels of leadership if CEOs don’t believe! IWL helps CEOs and executive teams change their physiologies, modernizing companies for today’s economic climate.
Ms. Vaughn is a renowned motivational speaker to companies, universities and women’s organizations; she offers specific, tangible strategies to rise to the top of corporate America with personal and professional balance. The most gratifying aspect of her career is seeing the people who she hired attain leadership positions, such as CEO, vice president, and direct and regional manager. She attributes her success to her dedication, honesty, integrity, faith in God, desire to be the best, ability to accomplish her goals, and the support she receives from her family.
